Enrolling at Huda Academy follows the same route for every family, whatever the age of your child. There are three steps, and the school office is there to help with each one.
01
Register online
Start by registering your child online. This is the school’s first record of your family, and it lets the office know which grade you are applying for and for which school year. Registering early matters: families who register by May 31 receive the discounted rate.
02
Submit the paperwork
Once you have registered, the office will ask for your child’s enrollment paperwork. The Apply page sets out what the school needs. If anything is missing or unclear, the office will tell you before your appointment, so nothing holds up your child’s place.
03
Meet the Office Administrator
The last step is an enrollment appointment with the school’s Office Administrator. It is your chance to meet the school in person, ask the questions that matter to your family, and complete your child’s enrollment. To arrange a time, call the school on 501-565-3555.
Key dates
When enrollment opens, and the date to aim for.
Enrollment follows a yearly calendar. Two dates matter most: the month it opens for your family, and the end of May, when the discounted rate closes.
Returning families, from January
Families whose children are already at Huda Academy re-enroll first. Enrollment for the following school year opens to them in January, so a child’s place is settled before new families begin applying.
New families, from March
Enrollment opens to new families in March. That is the time to register online, gather your paperwork and book your enrollment appointment. If you are thinking about the school before then, you are welcome to call the office with questions at any time of year.
May 31: the discounted rate
Families who register by May 31 receive a discounted rate. Registering early also gives the office time to work through your paperwork with you, well before the new school year begins.
The school will confirm
What the May 31 discount is worth, which grades it applies to, and whether registration stays open after May 31 (and until when).
Who we welcome
Every age from six months, and what joining means.
Huda Academy takes children from their first year through to high school, and every family joins on the same terms: a full-time place and a full school day.
Ages and stages
From infants to high school.
The youngest children join as infants, from six months to two years old, and move up through Toddler, PreK-3 and PreK-4. Kindergarten follows, then Elementary (Grades 1 to 5) and Middle School (Grades 6 to 8).
The high school is the newest part of the school and is still growing, with Grade 9 currently the highest grade enrolledNeeds fixing. It follows the state’s graduation requirements, with Pre-AP and AP courses and concurrent enrollment with UALR.
Whichever stage your child joins at, the enrollment steps are the same.
What to expect
Full-time places and a full day.
Every place is full-time. The school does not offer part-time enrollment at any age.
The school day runs from 8:00 to 3:25. From Kindergarten to Grade 9, Arkansas law requires children to attend the full day and meet the state’s educational requirements, so early pick-up is not possible at those grades.
The early years are gentler. Infants through Kindergarten take a nap during the day, and families of preschool children may pick them up early, or at any time in the day.
